ROSWELL: THE FINAL CHAPTER

             Antar Biographies:

Larek

Fathered by the King of Cano, a planet not far from Antar, Larek was born first cousin to Ce’nre D’tharthé (Zan). Larek’s father Oric D’Brano was also the only brother of Malarthe, Queen of Antar and mother of Zan and Vilondra. Larek currently resides as King of Cano and is well-known across the galaxy for his peacekeeping abilities. During the period in which Zan was still alive, he and Larek were close friends and confidants.

Although he was born on Cano, Larek often visited Antar in order to maintain his friendship with Zan. Well versed in politics and strategy, he likely sensed that Zan would not fair well once he became King of Antar. Larek, himself, was a couple years older than Zan and had already held the thrown of Cano for three years when Zan was pronounced King. Being as close to Zan as he was, Larek was well aware that Zan was not ready for the role of King, especially due to Zan’s father, Bor’n’s, untimely death.

He watched from afar and frowned upon the haste in which Zan took a wife following his coronation. He saw how Zan’s imprudent behavior after becoming King of Antar left him oblivious to both the state of his planet and the implications of what was developing right under his nose.

Years after the royal four were reborn on earth, Larek used his planet’s technology to temporarily inhabit the mind of a human in order to make contact with Max (who was Zan in the previous life). Perhaps he learned of Kivar’s plan to kill the royal four a second time and sought Max to warn him, but ultimately his intentions of contacting Max are still unclear. However, he did use the human to attend a summit meeting recently of the rulers of the planets in his system, which both Max and Kivar also attended. Now, it is said that Larek waits for Kivar to be overthrown and presumably hopes be reunited with his good friend Zan once more.

 Khivar Walme -

Khivar was born into a prominent family of an inferior race on Antar called the Antarves. For centuries the Antarves and the Antarians remained at odds with each other because both strove for complete control of the planet. In the reign of  Zan’s father, the Antarians established a great amount of power on Antar and their numbers rapidly grew stronger. In light of the power struggle between the two races, there were high expectations on Khivar, pushing him to be a great strategist and warrior. In the event that the Antarves rose up against the Antarians and defeated them, Khivar’s family would become the true Antarvian rulers.

History shows that Khivar did indeed a become the great strategist he dreamed of, because only a few years into King Zan’s reign he found a weakness that would allow him to overthrow the superior race. Some say he used Princess Vilondra to gain access into the royal palace while others say that he and Vilondra truly loved each other … the truth yet remains to be revealed. In any case, once Khivar gained access to the palace, he killed the royal family and usurped the Antarian throne.

Currently, Khivar Walme reigns as the tyrant ruler of Antar. Only a short while after his rise to power, he renamed the race of Antarves after himself and dubbed them the Walmes. Rumors have stated that Khivar is well aware that the Royal Four, his fiercest enemies, have been recreated. He is even said to have formed an agreement with one of their protectors to sabotage the experiment that would give the Royal Four another chance to save their planet and lead the recreated four to their doom. So far it is believed that he has failed in all attempts to destroy the rightful leaders of Antar a second time. Now, he waits and plans for the next war, because as long as the Royal Four live, his legitimacy as the true ruler of planet Antar is jeopardized. Much to the Antarvian’s dismay, there are still many inhabitants of Antar who believe that Zan and his family were the only true leaders of Antar; it is for this reason that Khivar can never rest until the Royal Four are dead.

 Avan’ya Arcturve-

Avan’ya was born the only daughter to the King and Queen of Artur, a neighboring planet to Antar. The Arcturve family named planet Artur after their family name because they were the first prominent family to reside on the planet, and being the ruling family it was their right. They removed a letter from their name when naming the planet in order to seem less pompus.

Avan’ya (Ava to those closest to her) was raised to be the perfect queen. At birth her father betrothed her to Prince Zan of Antar at the King of Antar’s suggestion in order to gain some peace between the planets. Economically, there had always been strife between Artur and Antar. The planets also differed in political ideals. Avan’ya’s teachers taught her the history and customs of both planets. Their hope was that by the time she married she could help her people by encouraging a peace from her husband between the Arturians and Antarians.

As time went on, rumors ciruculated in Artur of the troubles in Antar and the King of Artur worried about sending his daughter to be married in Antar among such a time of upheaval. Avan’ya was shielded from everything in the outside world including the rumors. She arrived at Antar thinking she would be living some fairytale dream with the husband she was supposed to be madly in love with.

Whether or not she truly loved Zan after meeting him is uncertain although an attraction of sorts existed between them. If she knew that Zan was mentally and/or emotionally unfaithful to her, she put up with it well. Since she grew to have a healthy respect and admiration for Zan at a young age, she could not turn her back on him. After arriving on Antar she also quickly discovered that Kivar had bad intentions. She was a good person who wanted the best for all that she cared about- especially her people and her family.

Kivar killed her along with the other royals, and her original body remains buried next to her husband. Her essence was cloned, as were the other royals, and she was supposed to grow up with them in the next life. Kivar ruined that and since peace has yet be to achieved between Artur and Antar he likely hoped to turn her to his side in order to have a powerful planet as his allie. Kivar would never have her loyalty, however, Avan’ya Arcturve would always be loyal to Zan.

 Haedon Maclir D’Layon (Hanley)

Haedon Maclir D’Layon was born during the reign of Borne, Zan’s father to Braedon and Zalina D’Layon.  He was raised in the traditions of the royal legion protectorate by his parents who both served as protectors to the royal family.  He inherited the honored role of protector from his parents and spent much of his young life learning to live in the ways of his ancestors.  In his early years he also gained twin siblings, Xaden (Xaedon) and Raeve.

A mere teenager when the royal four were killed, Haedon watched the distruction that came about when Kivar took over the throne. Both of his parents belonged to the legion of royal protectors and died during the siege of the palace.   Since he recently graduated to a full fledged protector he fought with his parents during the coup, but not beside them.  By the time he finally made his way to them they were already dead.  There was also a fellow protector- a girl named Avera– who he cared a lot about and might have married eventually.  What happened to her remains unknown, but two rumors circulated about her after the coup.  The first was that she was forced to betray her fellow protectors and the second was that she died before the coup ended.

Hanley lived through many events that day- the kind that he could never surpass.  When he heard about the pods of the cloned royals that would be sent out of Antar for safety until they clones matured he found his goal in life renewed.  He knew he could take whatever actions necessary to keep the royals from being killed a second time.  Unfortunately, he wasn’t allowed to leave Antar with the pods because of his rank, but he truly didn’t want to deep down because he didn’t want to leave his two younger siblings behind on Antar.

After the former Queen mother learned that the pods crash landed on Earth and that the original protectors were treacherous, she decided to send another group of protectors.  Hanley was among the first volunteers that offered to seek and protect the royal four.  By that time, his siblings were official protectors so they could join him as well.

Once he made his way to Earth, on the same ship as his brother and sister, the group of protectors went separate ways. Some went in search of the protectors and some to spy on troops Kivar had established on the planet. The rest… along with Hanley, went looking for the Royal Four.

Two years later, he managed to track them down, but decided it was better to keep an eye the FBI that was getting closer and closer to the aliens whereabouts.  When the royals seemed to need protecting the most, he was the first protector to come to their aid.  Since then, he has been protecting the royals full time as well as gathering information from other protectors around the world about the threats that the royals will eventually have to fight again.  He will always be there to protect them because that was the only vow he has ever made and he will try his best to always be successful.  He yearns to succeed… he doesn’t know how to fail.

Ce’nre D’tharthé (Zan)

Born 1806 Alklian Age to parents Malarthe and Bor’n D’tharthé. Ce’nre was given the nickname Zan at a young age because he couldn’t pronounce his real name.  He had an older sister, Vilondra- a beauty who everyone doted upon.  Still, he looked up to her and respected her all the same.

Zan, as a young child, was kept under wraps until about his sixteenth year. His parents were protective of him, making sure he lived a normal Antarian lifestyle. However, they still stressed the importance of separation between the classes, as evident by his relationship with Amíle Lazaranté.  Zan met Amile during his years at the Royal Academy and fell in love with her.  Unfortunately, he could not marry her because of the class distinction between them and the fact that he was betrothed to another.

In his sixteenth year, Zan was sent away to join the Nwye Army for training. He stayed the required five years and was officially discharged as a general ranking. There he met his friend and confidant, Rathmé Páve. Rathme later became his most trusted advisor when Zan became King.

Shortly after leaving the Army, he took on the role of King due to the untimely death of his father.  It was after the coronation that he met Avan’ya Arcturve of the planet Artur. She came to Antar because they were betrothed.  He courted her and they were scheduled to be married in the “metartante” of 1835. However, before wedding bells could ring, the D’tharthé line was brought down by Khivar Walmé and his army.  Zan couldn’t have stopped it because he was too distracted  trying to adjust to being King and marry Ava.  He was completely unaware of Kivar’s true plans.

Ce’nre and Avan’ya were buried side by side in the Cremí cemetery near the D’tharthé’s former residence. They were both cloned, however, and sent to Earth.  The Antarians wait for the day when Zan returns to the throne because they have no support for Kivar and his tyrannical ways.

Vilandra D’tharthé

Born in 1804 in the Alklian Age to parents Malarthe and Bor’n D’tharthé. Vilandra means “steadfast loyalty” in old Antarian tongue.  She was the older sister of Cen’re (Zan) and she cared about him very much.

As a youngster, Vilandra was paraded around for her beauty but was never allowed to be talked to. Hence, some speculate that is what led to her downfall later on in life. She attended the Sumé Academy from her tenth to her eighteenth year where she graduated with high honors.

After leaving the academy, Vilandra modeled for various magazines and was a spokeswoman for many causes in the Antar system. She gave often and a lot to her community and, when he was around, enlisted her brother to help.

Vilandra was bethrothed to Rathmé Páve.  She met him when he became Max’s right-hand advisor.  They were good friends, but they did not love each other.  After their deaths in 1835, it became common knowledge she was the lover of Khivar Walmé.

Vilandra was well versed in the politics of the time because her mother insisted that she obtain such knowledge while at the Sume Academy.  She knew that Kivar was rumored to have some evil plans in store for her family, but believed that he couldn’t be all that bad.  She sought him out and tried to persuade him to make peace- first with her father and later after Zan became King.  Sadly, Kivar was not as warm hearted as Vilandra believed.  Vilandra, unfortunately, suffered a violent and accidental death by the hands of Khivar. Her original body is buried next to her father in the D’tharthé property, but her essence was cloned after her death and sent to Earth along with Zan, Rath and Ava.

 Calypso Orion Morgania

Calypso was born to Aberon and Lumona Morgania.  Her father was of Antarvian descent.  Her mother was half Antarvian and half Antarian.  After her father died in a terrible accident, her mother fought tooth and nail to make sure she could attend the Royal Academy- the best school on Antar.  Her mother even re-married to a teacher at the Academy in order to find a way for Calypso to be enrolled there.  Unfortunately, her mother died in a tragic accident when Calypso was just ten- right before she began attending the Royal Academy.

As a child, Calypso met Rathme Pave, but she didn’t really bond with him until after she joined the Royal Academy where she met up with him again.  It was then that she learned her father and his mother had an affair before their untimely deaths.  She fell in love with Rath by the end of her Academy experience.  She was one of the few female soldiers to serve five years in the Nwye army.  She became a military advisor to the Royal family because of her experiences in the army all the while continuing to keep her Antarvian heritage a secret.

Later, she married Rath.  They even had a daughter, but sadly she had to mourn his tragic death before the baby was born.  For the rest of her life she fought and searched for a way to find his scientifically engineered dupe on Earth.  She learned from her step-father (who was the head scientist in charge of cloning the royals) that Yamine secretly saw to it that her (Calypso’s) essence was sent to Earth and she wanted to know if they succeeded.  Eventually she went to Earth, found Rath and saved his human love- Maria- by merging her essence with Maria.  That moment was technically her death- June 18th, 2003.

 Rathmé (Rath) Damien Páve

Rathme was born to Dor’ian and Margenia Pave.  His father was the head military commander of the Antarian family and political advisor to the King.  While his father was Antarian, however, his mother was Antarvian through and through.

At a young age, his mother died in a tragic accident.  His father sent him to the Royal Academy soon after where he kept his Antarvian heritage a secret.  He also found love at the Academy with Calypso Morgania, with whom he shared the same heritages and love of military knowledge.

After his years at the Royal Academy, Rath joined the Nywe army.  He continued to serve even after the required five years.  It was in the army that he gained a best friend in Zan.  He also excelled in his military training to such an extent that he was later endowed with the same Royal position his father had until his death.

Rath was also betrothed to Vilandra and he met her when he became Zan’s political advisor.  Although he thought of her as a good friend, he was never in love with her.  His love was for Calypso who he later married.  He never knew because of his untimely death, but he had a daughter with her.  He was killed during the Antarvian coup of the Antarian throne by Nicholas- Kivar’s second in command.

His original body is buried next to his father, but his essence was cloned.  He lives on in the two sets of cloned Royals that were sent to Earth for their own safety.  It is believed that Michael is the truer clone, especially since he is with the Max (Zan’s clone) and in love with Maria (who is now merged with Calypso).

 Amíle Lazaranté

Amile was born in 1805 Alklian Age to parents Dolin and Revanna Lazarante, a couple of lower standing in Antarian society.  Amile also had an older brother named Jeron, but he died in an accident when she was very young.  Her parents worked as servants for a man who was an advisor to the King; a man who looked at Amile as though she were his own.  It was due to his kindness and generosity that she was able to attend the Royal Academy.

At the academy she learned a great many things, but focused on the sciences.  She especially loved biology and with that came her curiosity about the gift of healing that a select few of the royal family inherited.  Perhaps it was her curiosity of healing that led her to meet prince Zan (although she didn’t know he was the prince at first because of the royal family’s request that he be treated like a normal Antarian until he turned 16).  Her gift of intuition aided in her discovery of Zan’s royal heritage and she couldn’t help being protective of him because of who he truly was.  The more she and Zan learned about each other, the more her protectiveness turned into love.  They would have married if Zan hadn’t been betrothed to Princess Avan’ya from Artur and if Amile were part of the same class as Zan.

After the academy, Amile went on to help the scientific advisors of the King of Antar and in the end became a scientific advisor herself.   She donated a great deal of her scientific knowledge into the project of cloning the royal four up until the coup.  During the battle, Nicholas (Kivar’s right hand advisor) fatally wounded her, but her friend Yamine absorbed her essence before she died.  Yamine hoped that she could bring Amile back to life after following the royal pods to their new destination.  She succeeded when she planted Amile’s essence inside the young woman who became Nancy Parker when she married Jeff Parker.  Now, Amile lives on in their daughter- Elizabeth Anne Parker.

Yamine D’Ravan

Yamine was born Dermon and Mina D’Ravan ten years before Cenre and Vilanda were born to the King and Queen of Antar.  She was born into a family of Royal protectors and raised as one.  Sadly, Yamine’s mother died when she was a little girl from a terrible accident involving the failed birth of her younger sister who was born dead.  Her father raised her and bent the rules of the protectors slightly by sending her to the Royal Academy for a well-rounded education.  Yamine, therefore, became extremely intelligent and had excellent control of her protective powers.

After the academy and her protector training, she started work at the palace as a protector.  Shortly after, however, the queen was so impressed by Yamine’s intelligence in the sciences that she sent Yamine to work with the scientists on a secret project- the project to clone the royal four.  During her work on the project, she met Amile Lazarante and was profoundly affected by the love she sensed between Amile and the Prince.  She knew that if prince Zan failed in her lifetime, that he would need Amile beside him in order to succeed in the next.  Amile helped her with the cloning project, but it was Yamine who was asked to go with the cloned pods to be sure that they would survive.  Still, Yamine was determined to be sure that Amile would be with Zan in Zan’s next lifetime.  Before Amile died in the coup Yamine absorbed her essence.

Her ship crash landed on Earth and she was captured by the FBI.  She soon learned how to escape however and returned to Roswell New Mexico (the town near the crash site).  Her mission was to find and protect the cloned royals- and she tried her best.  She met and fell in love with Jeff Parker in the process.  No one is sure, however, if she ever found the pods or not, but she later learned that most of them came to live in Roswell.  She had to leave Roswell after she learned that she was pregnant (the baby was hers and Jeff Parker’s) in order to protect herself from being exposed.  Before she became pregnant, however, she transferred Amile’s essence to Nancy (a girl that Jeff really liked) when she realized that Nancy would end up with Jeff.

After she left Roswell she had to live her life on the run.  A life she soon shared with her daughter, Serena- who didn’t appreciate such a lifestyle.  Yamine did her best to take care of Serena and teach her in the ways that she was tought as a girl.  It was likely that her lack of a motherly figure kept her from being the kind of mother that Serena wished she had.  Yamine died in her daughter’s arms during a offensive against the FBI special unit in hopes of keeping them from discovering the royals in Roswell.  Her memory lives on in her daughter and in a journal she hid among Charle’s Dupree’s things in Tucson, Arizona.

 Raeve D’Layon

Raeve D’Layon was the only daughter born to Braedan and Zalina D’Layon.  She was also a twin to Xaden and they shared a unique mental connection.  Like her brothers, Raeve was trained to be a protector.  She followed her twin brother Xaedon into battle during the coup because at the time they had never been apart and she had always been one to break the rules.

Of all her siblings, Raeve was probably the wildest, the wackiest, and the one with the biggest sense of humor.  She was also caring toward her brothers.   Unlike her brothers, however, she wasn’t quite as angry and resentful about the events of the coup.  Although she mourned the loss of the royals and her parents, she knew that the protectors who died would want her and the other protectors to learn from the situation and move on.

Protectors weren’t supposed to show much emotion at all because emotion was proven to cloud their judgement and put a damper on their success in any given situation.  Knowing that, she kept her feelings private except when it came to Xaedon.  She could not keep much from him because of their mental connection.

She was very glad and extremely excited to be able to travel to Earth with her brothers and other protectors when they learned that the cloned royals were in danger.  At first, she worked to gather as much information as she could from Kivar’s army- the one he sent to Earth to kill the cloned royals.  Later, when she found out that the royals would need her protection she made herself known to them (unaware that her older brother had already done so).  She would protect them at any cost because that was her job and she would try her best to keep her brothers in line so that all of them could succeed the second time around.

~.~.~.~

 Xaden (Xaedon) D’Layon

Xaedon was one of a set of fraternal twins born to Braedan and Zalina D’layon.  He was raised, like those before him to be a protector for the royals.  He and his twin, Raeve, were unique because of their mental connection.  Some thought that they could never be that bonded with anyone else because of the connection they shared- but they were never anything more than siblings.

During his training, he met the first and only girl he would ever have deep feelings for.  In fact, he didn’t actually meet this girl in the beginning.  The girl he felt so drawn to was Avan’ya Arcturve.  Avan’ya was the princess of Artur who was betrothed to Prince Zan.  When she arrived, however, Zan recently became King.  Zan was about to marry Avan’ya.  Xaedon, therefore, could only feel drawn to her from afar.  Some say, however, that they might have exchanged words one evening or two while he was patrolling the royal gardens after he spotted her there admiring the flowers.  Whatever the case, he was only a protector in training when the coup occurred.  He wanted so badly to fight in the coup like his brother and his parents- so badly that he tried to join in the fight.  Like his brother, he too saw the fall of the royals- specifically the death of Avan’ya.

After the coup, when he learned that his parents were killed in addition to the royals, he felt a lot of anger, resentment and grief.  He believed strongly that had he been there in the right place, he could have saved some- if not all- of the royals and his parents.  He partially blamed himself for their deaths- especially that of Avan’ya.

When he found out that he would be going to Earth with Hanley, Raeve and others to protect the cloned royals he knew he had a second chance.  He could finally prove that he could save the day.  Being allowed to go was an opportunity that he wouldn’t have given up for anything in the world just so he could personally see to it that the royals wouldn’t die a second time.

On Earth, he spent a lot of time observing the royals at first from a distance.  Later he gathered a lot of information on the FBI special unit.  When he learned that the FBI special unit kidnapped the Parkers, he rescued them and helped them return to Roswell safely.  He will continue to help the gang, but what might be the most difficult task for him won’t be the protecting.  The most difficult task for him will be to keep a clear mind even after he sees Avan’ya again.  He knows that if he lets his feelings toward her distract him that he might fail the royals again- and that’s the last thing he wants.  The last thing he wants is to fail … but with Avan’ya there he might need all his will power to succeed.
